Nonmedical companionship

Companion care in The Villages, FL

Life in The Villages is built around clubs, squares and neighbors. When a loved one drives less, a spouse is away or family lives out of state, regular company can help keep familiar routines going. RaphaCare offers nonmedical companion services from our Ocala base, and a free consultation helps confirm whether your location and schedule can be supported.

Free, no-obligation consultation. Availability depends on your location and schedule and is confirmed individually.

What a companion visit can look like

Visits are shaped around the person, not a script: conversation over coffee, a card game or puzzle, reading the Daily Sun together, light meal preparation, or keeping a grocery list and running errands. Companionship during an arranged outing or appointment can be discussed in advance.

Families often tell us the hardest part is not one big task but the quiet hours between them. A predictable visit schedule can give everyone a clearer week.

Questions to settle before the first visit

Which days and times matter most? Are there favorite activities, foods or topics? Who in the family should receive updates? How will outings or errands be arranged? We confirm these in writing before services begin, and we will tell you plainly if a request is outside our scope.

Serving households across Sumter, Lake and Marion portions of The Villages

The Villages spans more than one county. Share the general area or ZIP during your consultation so we can confirm availability; mention of a neighborhood here does not mean a local office.

    Common questions

Is companion care the same as home health care?

No. Companion care is nonmedical company and household support. Home health involves licensed clinical services ordered by a physician. RaphaCare provides Florida AHCA-registered homemaker and companion services, not home health care. We do not provide hands-on bathing, feeding, dressing, toileting, lifting or transfers, medication administration, nursing or therapy. If those services are needed, contact an appropriately licensed provider.

Can a companion join my mother at a club activity or appointment?

Companionship during arranged outings and appointments can be discussed. Transportation, timing and any venue rules need to be confirmed before we commit.

How many hours a week do families usually request?

It varies widely. We do not publish a typical package; your consultation sets a schedule you can review before anything starts.

    How is cost decided?

We provide a personalized private-pay quote after the consultation. We do not list rates online because schedule, tasks and timing change the quote.
