Nonmedical support at home

Companion Care in Ocala & The Villages

Companion care is company and everyday social support at home, not hands-on personal care. RaphaCare is an Ocala-based provider families can contact directly to discuss a loved one's interests, routine and preferred visiting schedule.

Call to confirm availability for your location and schedule.

Company built around the person's choices

A useful companion visit starts with what the person enjoys: reading together, conversation, games or looking through familiar photographs. The goal is to make space for company, not to take over decisions or advertise treatment for loneliness, depression or memory loss.

For an Ocala household, relatives may be balancing visits across Marion Oaks, Belleview or Silver Springs. In The Villages, a resident may want company around a familiar home routine or an arranged appointment. Share the general location and preferences; visits and appointment arrangements depend on caregiver availability, not simply being in a listed community.

A family caregiver's break is appropriate only when non-hands-on companionship can meet the person's needs during that time. If bathing, feeding, transfers or clinical supervision is needed, consult an appropriately licensed provider. Companion services do not replace that level of support.

    Registration and service boundaries

RaphaCare provides Florida AHCA-registered homemaker and companion services, not home health care. We do not provide hands-on bathing, feeding, dressing, toileting, lifting or transfers, medication administration, nursing or therapy. If those services are needed, contact an appropriately licensed provider.

Ask for registration details and verify the category before arranging support. No registration number is published here without verification. Private-pay quotes and any plan eligibility must be confirmed individually.

    Questions before arranging companion care

How do we plan a first companion visit?

Discuss what company the person wants, which activities are comfortable, the general location and preferred schedule. Agree on tasks, payment and how family will communicate before visits begin. Start dates depend on availability.

Does companion care include physical help with walking?

No hands-on mobility, lifting or transfers are offered under RaphaCare's homemaker/companion registration. If physical assistance is needed, contact an appropriately licensed provider rather than assuming a companion can provide it.

Can companionship and light chores be discussed together?

Yes. Ask about combining company with agreed homemaker tasks such as meal preparation or laundry. Confirm what can reasonably fit in a visit, without including hands-on or medical services.
